This small, frond-like Ediacaran fossil called Beothukis is a new addition to our jewellery range, and is the first piece we've created from Ediacaran fossils outside of Australia. This particular fossil remains preserved in the exposed fossilized seafloor on the wild and majestic coasts of the Avalon Peninsula (Newfoundland, Canada). 

 

The elaborate frond-like fossils found in Newfoundland, Canada, are the oldest large and complex organisms on Earth. Although many of these ancient Ediacaran fossils may look like plants, scientists currently think they were either animals or fungi.
